simbury:

So it seems there’s an issue with a neck seam on the swimwear mesh. From what I can find online it seems to be a normals issue?

I’m afraid it’s beyond me to fix it :(

One easy-to-fix reason for this is an incorrect normal format, which is an issue in the recolor. Open the recolor in SimPE, load the normal/bumpmap, and check the format (in Plugin View, on the left, above the size & under the filename).

It should read “Raw8Bit.” If it’s something else, change it and see if the problem persists. This can get changed if you use DXT to import a bumpmap instead of the “import” function.

Whatever the problem is, I hope you get it cleared up! …for not entirely unselfish reasons. ;)

Alice O’Hare Davidson. "The poly count on this hair is WHAT?!?!"

The first six Morris kids live fairly charmed lives, so I felt like Aaron needed to break the mold. The first pic is him returning home after dropping out of Uni. He proposed when Bertha found herself “in trouble” shortly after, but left for downtown New Athens seeking work. He tends bar at an underground gambling house while Bertha lives with her brother’s family.

I was going through a “shoot pictures through the window frame” phase the week I took these, I guess.

Sorry for the deluge.

There’s a half-gig of screenshots sitting in a folder and I’m antsy.

Vincent reads Popular Mechanics, my replacement tinkering mag.

Rita Burrows and Gladys Monroe Lowell, at Nussbaum Jewelers on a date. Rita initiated a game of football, as you do.

Garage owner Vinnie Andretti’s a bit of a playboy, but he grabbed his wife Juanita early one morning and proceeded to dance her around the kitchen until dawn. (Their toddler son Leo, behind them in the third photo, isn’t amused.)

Juanita’s one of my original teen townies and her bio is one of the most melodramatic in my game. Her first son (with the late Walter O’Hare) lives with his paternal grandparents.

My Arbordale, which incidentally hasn’t been on the Arbordale terrain since 2007. This is a modification of plasticbox’s Baskerville at MTS2. It’s vaguely midwestern, currently set in the the late 1920s, and sort of boring, really. The subhoods are prettier.

It makes sense to do this

because I have a lot of good photos that I’m too lazy to connect via any sort of narrative and the tumblr format suits this better than my Dreamwidth (where I’ll be keeping my downloads.)
